Stock advisory Company Hong Kong stocks open higher, extend gains

Hong Kong stocks continued the previous two days' rally on Wednesday following a third successive record close on Wall Street, with traders brushing off fresh reports that North Korea is planning another nuclear test. 

The Hang Seng Index rose 0.48 per cent, or 119.67 points, to 25,008.70. 

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index inched down 0.08 percent, or 2.36 points, to 3,078.17 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, was marginally lower, dipping 0.72 points to 1,846.92.
