The outlook for the day The market is likely to open positive taking lead from global markets as geopolitical tensions ease. Asian stocks extended a global rally as investors looked ahead to data that will provide detail on the strength of US consumer prices, while European and US markets were up and the Asian bourses are expected to follow suit. The lead from Wall Street is positive as stocks moved higher, helping the major averages to hit record closing highs.
Hindalco Industries, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, Allahabad Bank, BEML, Britannia Industries, Container Corporation of India, GMR Infrastructure, Motherson Sumi Systems, NMDC, Petronet LNG, Power Finance Corporation, Reliance Communications and Reliance Infrastructure are to announce their results today.
As per provisional figures, foreign institutional investors (FIIs)/Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) bought shares worth net Rs 504.51 crore on February 10, 2017. Domestic institutional investors sold shares worth Rs 224.76 crore on that day.
